Peninsula Health District Holds Back to School Immunization Event

On Wednesday, August 24 from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, the Virginia Department of Health’s Peninsula Health District is holding an immunization event at 416 J. Clyde Morris Boulevard, adjacent to Riverside Regional Medical Center. The Center is dedicating the day to providing the community with health and safety information with a special emphasis on immunizations.immunization_event_SC In addition to the back-to-school immunizations, dental hygiene and extractions, nutrition information, blood pressure screenings for parents, emergency preparedness tips, free car seat registration and Zika information will also be available. Please bring your child’s shot record with you.

If you miss this event, the Peninsula Health District offers back-to-school immunizations for school age children at the Peninsula Health Center in Newport News on a walk-in basis during regular hours. Please check the Peninsula Health District’s Immunization page for more details.
