Interested in eco-friendly products? Want to know the latest in sustainability practices? Join the Virginia Cooperative Extension Services and the Peninsula Master Gardeners at the 8th Annual Go Green Expo. The free expo being held Saturday, September 10 from 10 AM to 3 PM

at the Brittingham-Midtown Community Center is a collaboration with Newport News departments of Waterworks and Public Works.
Attendees can take part in interactive information presentations and workshops. Participants can purchase materials for and build their own rain barrel at the Rain Barrel Workshop. Other workshops include discussions about farming, gardening, erosion, lawn care, and sustainability. Adults aren’t the only ones that can have fun learning to go green. Kids can go to the Grin and Grow Learning Garden kids activity area to participate in the hands-on craft projects. They can also have fun with The Bunny Hutch who will discuss animals

with their zoo exhibit, get their face painted, or take pictures in the photo boards.
