Posted on August 16, 2016 at 8:11 AM by Communications Department

Brandon Jones, bartender at Tucanos Brazilian Grill, will be competing in the 200m Track and Field race for his father's home country of Belize. Brandon begins his competition on Tuesday morning, August 16, and the staff of the churrascaria invites guests to join them as they cheer on Brandon and all of the USA athletes competing in the games in Rio.

“The entire Tucanos team is excited to have such a close tie-in to the Olympic Games this year. With the Olympics being held in Rio de Janeiro, this obviously makes these games extremely special for us,” said Matt Manning, Tucanos’ general manager. “Our particular restaurant has an even greater reason to be excited this year as one of our own is in Brazil competing.”

Tucanos Brazilian grill is also inviting guests to ‘Go for Gold’ in celebration of the summer games in Brazil. Through the end of August, guests who participate in ClubTucanos (the restaurant’s loyalty app) will enjoy increasing rewards with each additional visit to the restaurant.

During Tucanos’ “Go for Gold” Olympic celebration, guests will earn double points for any purchase made. Following a second visit to the restaurant during the promotional period, guests will be moved automatically to the next reward level (regardless of actual points earned) for the remainder of the year, allowing them to earn points even faster on the journey to the Gold loyalty level. Upon completing a third visit within the time frame the ClubTucanos member will receive a free meal reward, valid through January 2017. Tucanos will also have the Olympic games on for viewing.
