The Department of Engineering is continuing the design of the Prince Drew Road Reconstruction Project and will be holding a public information meeting Thursday, August 25, from 5 - 7 PM in the Hidenwood Elementary School Cafeteria at 501 Blount Point Road. Residents are invited to attend the meeting to review the project, ask questions and provide feedback.

To improve the safety for pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorists, the reconstruction is widening the roadway from approximately 20 feet to 30 feet, replacing the open ditches with curb and gutter and a new storm water system, and adding an 8-foot wide sidewalk on the south side of the roadway with a 3½ foot grass buffer between the roadway and the sidewalk. The project also includes the rehabilitation of the existing sanitary sewer system. The improvements begin on Prince Drew Road at Moores Lane and extend to the intersection of Warwick Boulevard and Prince Drew Road.
