Fridays at the Fountain event from 6-9 PM at City Center. Pokémon Go players can compete in a free
Pokémon contest from 7-8 PM as well as use the free lures and charging stations courtesy of Newport News Parks,
Recreation & Tourism. And make sure to stop by the
Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter tent to meet the most loveable, four-legged buddies in Newport News. You can even volunteer to take one of the adoptable companions on a walk during your search to “catch ‘em all.” When finished, take a break from the heat with a cool beverage and local eats and treats from vendors all while listening to tunes from the band “Borderline Crazy.”
