On Saturday, July 30, The Newport News Police Department
is hosting a special kickoff event to get the community excited about National Night Out. Once a year neighborhoods across the country team up with local police departments to host National Night Out events in their cities. These events promote community-police partnerships and comradery between neighbors in hopes that by working together neighborhoods become a safer, better place to live.
The July 30th kick-off event takes place in the Target parking lot, located at 12130 Jefferson Avenue from 10 AM to 2 PM. Enjoy live entertainment, pony rides, car show, giveaways, and more. Following the Saturday night kick off, join neighbors Tuesday as the City of Newport News observes National Night Out on August 2nd.
