The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is bringing its full-service, mobile customer service center to Newport News City Hall, 2400 Washington Avenue, on Monday, June 20th from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

With the latest technology, this wireless office-on-wheels is handicapped-accessible and offers all DMV transactions including: applying for and renewing driver’s licenses and ID cards; obtaining vehicle titles, license plates and decals; getting a copy of your driving record; ordering disabled parking placards or plates; purchasing hunting and fishing licenses; and much more.
Road and knowledge tests are available too. And if you’ve recently moved, you can stop in to update your address on your DMV record, and also update your voter registration address and organ donor status.
DMV2Go also has the capability to process requests for Virginia Birth Certificates, Virginia Death Certificates, Virginia Marriage Certificates and Virginia Divorce Certificates. For a copy of a Virginia Vital Record there is an application, a $14 search fee, and acceptable identification must be presented. The application and identification information is located on the
DMV main web site.
In partnership with the city’s Commissioner of the Revenue and Treasurer’s offices, DMV2Go will be at Newport News City Hall every other month during 2016. The remaining scheduled dates are August 29th and October 31st. More information about DMV2Go can be found on the
DMV2Go website.
