The festival features the reading of the Emancipation Proclamation, exhibitors, and both food and non-food vendors. Throughout the day, there will be a van available for an exciting historical tour of the Newsome House Museum and Cultural Center. Guests can expect a host of entertainment from local artists from jazz, R & B, and Mime performances, to steel bands, gospel, and a variety of dance. Bring the children to enjoy air rides, pony rides, air brushed tattoos, and a special appearance by Bubbles the Clown, who will paint faces, dance, and play games.
