Posted on June 6, 2016 at 9:50 AM by Latoya Jefferson

The Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter staff is excited to be one of sixteen shelters hosting the “Passion 4 Compassion” adoption event taking place June 9th to June 12th. The purpose of the event is to celebrate the importance of adopting shelter animals as well as recognize the dedication of shelter employees who work hard every day to find homes for rescue animals. 6-9 passion 4 compassion scaled

Shelter volunteer and media coordinator Page Davis said, “It truly takes a village to do the work that we all do, and the Regional Animal Shelter is honored to be part of this special time to thank everyone in the nearby shelters who strive to place homeless animals throughout this area.” With this being the busiest time of the year in animal rescue, the sixteen participating shelters will highlight special animals for adoption as well as celebrate staff and volunteers, to draw attention to the ongoing importance of animal rescue.

To see features, highlights and other happenings during this special adoption event, check the shelter’s Facebook page.
