The Newport News Department of Engineering has contracted with Pembroke Construction Company for the replacement of failing brick pavers along Town Center Drive. A portion of the street improvements will occur in front of 706 Town Center Drive replacing and fixing the

settlement of the existing brick pavers. Street improvements will replace some of the brick pavers at the intersection of Town Center Drive and Merchants Walk. The pedestrian walkway will be repaired in various locations of the City Center area with this work resetting pavers where settlement has occurred. The construction work has already begun and should be finished in about three weeks. Motorists should be aware that the construction may create possible disruption to parking along Town Center Drive and traffic flows around the area.
