
Beginning June 26, the Peninsula Fine Arts Center (PFAC) is hosting nine incredible weeks of summer ARTventures for children, ages 5-12. Campers can enjoy one or multiple weeks of camp at the Peninsula Fine Arts Center. Campers can attend half days (9 a.m.-noon or 1-4 p.m.) or full days, and early drop-off and extended care is available.
Each week features different themes with both morning and afternoon sessions for ages 5-8 and 9-12. Campers will be guided by a teaching artist and a team of counselors.
- June 26-29 Fuzzy Fibers- This is not your grandma's sewing class! Weave abstract art, create a pizza pillow, create rad 80s-inspired string art, tie dye a tote bag, and more!
- July 5-6 What a Mess!- Wear your play clothes because we are getting messy! Make slime, splatter paint, shoot arrows dipped in paint and other messy creations!
- July 10-13 Mini Masterpieces- Create art in the style of famous artists like Chagall, Romero Britto, Chihuly, Picasso, Calder, Kandinsky, and more!
- July 17 - 20 Passport to Europe- Create art inspired by Europe's past, present and future! Create a cave painting, design a beret and put on mime makeup, make a Greek mosaic, get some fresh air as you paint En Plein Air, macaroon sculptures and more!
- July 24-27 Sculpt It! No flat artwork here! Air-dry clay animals, paper mache desserts, wire mobiles, cardboard masks and even make a burger sculpture with a secret compartment!
- July 31- August 3 Fantasy Fun- Dragon eyes, adorable aliens, monster masks, clay monster faces, rainbow geodes, silly robots and more!
- August 7-10- Rock, Paper, Scissors....ART! Painting rocks and hiding them in the Mariner's Park, making paper, mixed media, weaving, paper mache, air-dry clay, and more!
- August 13-16- Lions, and tigers, and bears, oh my! And that's just the beginning! Make a clown or animals mask, paper mache candy apples, circus animal art, Seurat style circus portraits and more!
Four Day Camp fees are $185 members/$210 non members for full day, $105 members/ $125 non members for half day. Early drop-off from 8-9 a.m. and extended care from 4-5 p.m. are both an extra $25 fee per week.
CLAY Camps, for ages 5-8 or 9-12, are 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. on August 7-10, August 13-16, August 21-24 and August 28-31. CLAY Camp pricing his higher due to cost of clay and firing, $195 members/ $210 nonmembers. Clay artworks must dry and be fired before they are available for pick up.
