Community Partners needed – Reserve your hood now!
The Youth Services unit of the Newport News Department of Human Services is looking for community partners to work with high school students to create positive anti-underage drinking messages on car hoods. The car hood, removed from the vehicle, acts as a canvas for anti-alcohol and drug abuse messages. All supplies (car hood, paint, brushes etc.) will be delivered to your site beginning on March 1, 2018.
Projects are to be completed by April 9th and placed on display for community viewing outside of your group location. The murals will be voted on by the community online beginning April 11. To register and receive supplies, or for more information, contact: Rachael Asher,
