The City of Newport News is hosting a public meeting regarding the Patrick Henry Drive extension from Turnberry Blvd. to Bland Blvd. on Monday, March 12, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The open forum style meeting is being held at Denbigh Community Center in room 149. Representatives from the Engineering Department are discussing the proposed project to extend Patrick Henry Drive by constructing a street with 36 feet of asphalt pavement, concrete curb and gutter, lighting, and sidewalk. The project starts from west of Turnberry Blvd. to Bland Blvd. Citizens attending the meeting can review the plan, maps, and drawings as well as provide oral and written comments during the hearing.
Citizens who would like to provide comments and review maps and drawings but are unable to attend the meeting may view them at the Department of Engineering Office located in City Hall on the 7th floor. It is recommended to call ahead to ensure the appropriate personnel is available to answer questions.
