The New Year’s Day holiday and winter storm Grayson have thrown our trash, recycling and bulk waste collections schedule way off. Crews had been pulled for snow removal, but are resuming collections today. Unfortunately, some neighborhood streets are still unsafe for our drivers to navigate. If they skip your street due to road conditions, they will return. Bottom line: place your solid waste out according to the schedule below and leave it out until it is collected. Today’s collections started with Wednesday routes. Thursday routes are to be collected tomorrow. Regular collections for this week will be delayed two days. The schedule is below.
- Wed. 1/3, which had been moved to Thurs because of the holiday, will be collected on Mon. 1/8
- Thurs. 1/4, which had been moved to Fri because of the holiday, will be collected on Tues. 1/9
- Mon 1/8 collected on Wed. 1/10
- Tues 1/9 collected on Thurs. 1/11
- Wed. 1/10 collected on Fri. 1/12
- Thurs 1/11 collected on Sat. 1/13
Neighborhoods with 18-gallon recycling bins instead of the wheeled carts will not be collected this week; those weekly collections will resume next week.
Roadside loose leaf collection has been on hold since before the snow while those crews were also switched to pretreating roads and snow removal. Street Maintenance crews are still treating and plowing roads and expect to resume leaf collection on Thursday.
