Want to get organized, healthier, or become more creative in 2018? Newport News Public Libraries are offering programs all throughout January to help everyone get started with their New Year’s resolutions.
On January 3, visit Pearl Bailey Library at 7 p.m. for a free bullet journaling workshop to help get organized. Bullet journaling is a method of journaling and note-taking that uses bullet points as the core structure. With bullet journaling, you take quick notes on any number of things, and then mark those notes with symbols to categorize and track them.
Online registration is required to attend the Bullet Journaling 101 workshop.

Already organized but need to get in shape? Try yoga at Grissom Library every Wednesday of the month starting January 3 at 6:30 p.m. Instructor Toni Lawless will teach a series of introductory yoga classes for all experience levels. Be sure to bring a yoga mat, towel, and a water bottle to use during class.
Registration is free, but limited to 15 participants so sign up today!

Looking for children’s activities as well? Bring your kids to the free winter event at Grissom Library on January 10th at 11 a.m. to get creative. Enjoy a day celebrating winter with snowy stories, songs, a craft, and a frosty treat. Children of all ages are welcome.
Registration is required. To learn more about events and to register, visit the
NNPL calendar.
