Artists in Hampton Roads and beyond won’t want to miss “The Arts,” an exclusive showcase providing a gateway to various artist’s unique perspectives. This semi-annual event, happening November 5 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Virginia Living Museum, features quality live music, vivid photography, stunning fashion, sensual dance, captivating paintings, intriguing body art, striking cosmetology, and flavorsome culinary art. Back again as host of the evening is Vice Mayor Tina Vick with co-host Larry Parker and event founder and Newport News Public School Board Member John R. Eley, III.
“The Arts” was started in the summer of 2015 by a group of young artistic entrepreneurs. The mission of “The Arts” showcase is to provide a rare platform for artists from all genres to freely express themselves. The purpose is for all participants to gain maximum exposure and have their art breakthrough to the next level while gaining network opportunities.
