Absentee Voting Hours Extended

10-23 voteThe November 7  elections are less than a month away and beginning today, absentee voting hours have been extended at the City Center Satellite office.  From now through through Friday, November 3, the Voter Registrar’s Office in City Center at 700 Town Center Drive is open for in-person absentee voting Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.to 5:00 p.m. The City Hall location at 2400 Washington Avenue remains open for in person absentee voting Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Registered voters who will be away from Newport News on Election Day, or who are unable due to a disability, may vote by absentee ballot. 

Both locations are open to the public for in-person absentee voting on Saturday, October 28 and Saturday, November 4 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If you plan on requesting an absentee ballot to be mailed to you, the deadline for the office to receive your request is 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 31.
