Fall Fest in the Southeast

Councilwoman Saundra Cherry, in partnership with the James A. Fields House and the Downtown Newport News Merchants and Neighborhood Association, invites residents to the 2017 Community Fall Fest. The free event is being held at the James A. Fields House, located at 617 - 27th Street, on Saturday, October 28, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

10-19 festivalEnjoy a fun-filled day that includes music, games, and prizes. Youth, ages 2-17, can receive a free miniature pumpkin while the supply lasts. Children may come dressed in costumes for a chance to win a prize. Any child under 17 years old must be accompanied by an adult. 

Candy donations are being accepted until Saturday, October 28. The donations can be dropped off at the City Clerk’s office in City Hall or may be brought to the event. Vendors and volunteers are still being accepted. Vendors may request and submit registration forms until October 25 by emailing or by calling 757-813-6014.
