Posted on October 10, 2017 at 9:27 AM by Communications Department

10-10 restoreHabitat for Humanity Peninsula & Greater Williamsburg is holding the grand opening celebration of its new ReStore on Saturday, October 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The expanded, 23,000 square foot Habitat ReStore is located at 371 Chatham Drive in Newport News across from Lowe’s in the city’s Central Business District. The ReStore is a nonprofit home improvement store and donation center selling furniture, cabinets, doors, housewares, appliances and more, with most of the items donated from local businesses and individuals. The grand opening features special sales and discounts, refreshments, prizes and giveaways every hour. The original ReStore in Newport News opened in 2003 and was located in the Hilton Shopping Center.

With the belief that everyone should have a decent, affordable place to live, Habitat for Humanity partners with businesses, governments, community groups, schools and individuals to build and renovate homes for sale to low-income area families. Purchases made at the ReStore help local families achieve home ownership for the first time. For more information, visit www.habitatpgw.org
