Stop the Bullying!

The Mayor’s Initiative to End Bullying in Newport News in partnership with Parents Against Bullying (P.A.B) is hosting the 5th  Annual P.A.B 1000 Youth March on Sunday, October 1,from 2-5 p.m. The event, held at the Christopher Newport University Pomoco Stadium, 1 University Place in Newport News, is free and open to the public.

The Mayor’s Campaign to End Bullying is a city-wide initiative striving to make schools and communities safe and supportive environments for all youth. Parents Against Bullying is a 501(c)3 that promotes community awareness about bullying prevention.

Nearly one in every four kids in the U.S. is bullied on a regular basis – approximately 13 million children are bullied each year in the U.S. alone. Bullying is just not something that happens in schools, it occurs in community settings, at work, in neighborhoods and on the Internet.  Take a stand to prevent bullying and join the youth march.
