Tuesday, May 3rd, is election day and registered voters in Newport News will be going to the polls to choose City Council and School Board representatives.

All polling places will be open from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM. If you are unsure of the location of your polling place, you can check the Virginia Department of Elections
Polling Place Lookup site. The Newport News Voter Registrar’s office has
sample ballots and precinct information available online for your use.
As a reminder, in Virginia voters are required to provide one form of photo identification in order to vote. Acceptable IDs include a valid Virginia driver's license or United States passport; other government identification card; Virginia student identification card; or employee identification card. A
