A Revolution in the Making

Join the Warwick County Historical Society Wednesday, August 16, as the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation Director of Education Mark Howell offers a virtual tour of the new American Revolution Museum at Yorktown, and teases tidbits about what is coming next. The American Revolution Museum at Yorktown tells the story of the Nation’s founding, from the colonial period to the dawn of the Constitution and beyond. New indoor galleries feature period artifacts, immersive environments, interactive exhibits and films, including “The Siege of Yorktown,” with a 180-degree surround screen and dramatic special effects.

This event is the historical society's annual potluck dinner. The main entrée is provided, but the society asks that guests bring a side dish or dessert to share. If you chose not to bring a dish but would still like to partake in the meal, guests may pay a $5 fee to join in. The meal is at 6 p.m. and the program begins at 7 p.m. on the second floor of the 1884 Warwick Courthouse, 14421 Old Courthouse Way. Call 757-525-7372 for additional information.
