Stop by the Peninsula Health Department now for school vaccinations to avoid long lines when school starts. Health department staff are currently providing all vaccinations required for school entry with no appointments necessary. Walk-in hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. and on Wednesdays from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The walk-in hours may be adjusted if capacity is reached. On Wednesday, August 30 and Tuesday, September 5 check in times will be extended to 7:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Rising kindergarteners must receive required vaccinations before entry into school and the Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis/whooping cough) vaccine is required before entry into the sixth grade.
