The Newport News Public Library System has added a Pop-Up Library to their vast array of services. The Library System, which already attends many community events each month, is now offering a tent for increased visibility which also serves as the shelter for new interactive games, books, giveaways, and more. The Pop-Up Library gives the flexibility of meeting the needs of the community, even when there is not a library
close-by.

On Friday, July 28, the Pop-Up Library “popped-up” in Courthouse Green in Denbigh. Library staff signed up children for the summer reading program, helped them check out books, and provided interactive crafts. More than 30 children came to the event and most spent at least an hour or two enjoying
the activities at the Pop-Up Library.
