Now offering expanded substance abuse treatment programs
The Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board is enhancing existing services and adding new substance and opioid addiction services for residents of both localities.

As a partner in the statewide effort to address the opioid epidemic, the range of services available include inpatient and outpatient services, psychosocial day services, residential treatment for pregnant women, and medication-assisted treatment. The new Intensive Outpatient Program provides six to nine hours of treatment and other services per week for adolescents and adults. Suboxone, used to treat narcotic (opiate) addiction, is provided as a part of a new Office-Based Opioid Treatment service.
The Opioid Treatment Program at Hampton Roads Clinic offers a unique and specialized program for adults with a long history of dependence on opiates such as prescription pain medications, heroin, and morphine. The Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board continues to deliver a diversity of services in a person-centered environment, while increasing access to care. Medicaid and a sliding scale payment system increases the availability of mental health or drug addiction services to those in need.
