Wickham Avenue Alliance hosts free family event
Join the Wickham Avenue Alliance next
Wednesday, August 9, to cool off with a Summer Sundae Funday held at Doris Miller Community Center, 2814 Wickham Avenue. Sprinkle your day with fun activities for the family including ice cream, music, crafts and more. The Summer Sundae Funday is free of charge and open to the public. For more information about the event or to volunteer, contact the C. Waldo Scott Center at 757-244-9223.
The Wickham Avenue Alliance is a collaboration of several agencies in the Southeast community including Doris Miller Community Center, C. Waldo Scott Center for Hope, Downing Gross Cultural Arts Center, the Pearl Bailey Library and the YWCA Virginia Peninsula. The Alliance seeks to demonstrate community partnerships and works to address the service and program needs of the community.
