Morning and afternoon sessions available to accommodate shift workers
The Newport News Tourism Development Office is co-sponsoring a special training for the hospitality industry to help cultivate the skills of those who serve travelers visiting the city. Hospitality industry employees can attend a free customer service training on Thursday, May 12, at The American Theatre in Hampton.

To accommodate shift workers, two sessions will be offered – the first from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM and the second from 1:30 to 3:30 PM. Topics of discussion throughout the training will include: What is extraordinary customer service?; Treating visitors like guests; How can we keep our guests coming back?; and Creating an environment where both employees and guests want to be.
