Commuters who use Warwick Boulevard begin experiencing reduced traffic lanes as the first phase of construction to replace the bridge over

Lake Maury starts Sunday, July 23. Temporary roadway modifications provide for two lanes of northbound traffic and one lane of southbound traffic during construction with a reduced speed limit of 35 mph in the work zone. The project requires reduced lanes and shifting lane patterns over the course of construction, which is anticipated to last approximately 18 months.
The construction replaces the six-lane wide bridge and adds a 14-foot wide shared use path. The improvements also include one additional eastbound lane from the J. Clyde Morris Boulevard intersection through the intersection at Riverside Regional Medical Center. For more information about the project, contact project manager Carolyn Bowman at 757-926-3667 or
