HRSD Center Avenue Pipe Rehabilitation

Posted on April 28, 2016 at 10:26 AM by Communications Department

The Hampton Roads Sanitation District (HRSD) is holding a project Open House tonight, Thursday April 28, from 4:30-6:30 PM at the Main Street Library, 110 Main Street to discuss the continuation of the rehabilitation of critical infrastructure within the Rivermont, Hilton Village, Brandon Heights and Warwick-on-the-James areas of the City.

The HRSD is proposing the rehabilitation of approximately 8,200 linear feet of HRSD maintained sanitary sewer pipe along the red highlighted route in the photo below.

Most of the work will be performed using pipe rehabilitation technology so construction impact on area residents is expected to be minimal. Work is anticipated to begin this summer and be completed by winter 2017. Representatives from HRSD, the project design consultant and the Newport News Department of Engineering will be available to answer questions.
