Support Professionals Invited to Join the NNPS Team

Newport News Public Schools is seeking talented professionals to enhance its dedicated team and help shape the future for thousands of students.NNPS logo_SC Interested applicants are invited to learn more about NNPS and apply onsite during the Hiring Extravaganza from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Crittenden Middle School, 6158 Jefferson Avenue. Representatives from various departments are providing detailed information about job openings and conducting interviews onsite. Some of the positions open include bus drivers, substitute teachers, child nutrition employees, custodians,Cafeteria Worker_SC HVAC technicians, plumbers, electricians, painters, landscapers, and more.

Applicants are encouraged to bring multiple copies of resumes and three references (names, email addresses and phone numbers) to the hiring event. In addition, bus driver applicants should bring their driver’s license; plumber applicants must possess a Journeyman and Plumber certificate and a certificate as a backflow prevention device worker from the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulations; and substitute teacher applicants must bring official/unofficial college transcripts to show proof of earning 30 college credit hours.
