Be alert for reduced and shifting lanes during construction
Construction to improve the intersection of Warwick and Bland boulevards begins July 10. With an anticipated completion date of Fall 2018, the project requires reduced lanes and shifting lane patterns over the course of construction.

The improvements will raise the elevation of the intersection to minimize flooding in the area helping to decrease the hazard to citizens and emergency responders. The project includes grading, new drainage structures, culvert work, waterline replacement, asphalt and concrete replacement, and upgrading of the traffic signals to include pedestrian signals.
The Warwick and Bland Intersection Improvements project is being completed by Basic Construction Company for $3.6 million. Some of the costs are being covered with the VDOT State Revenue Sharing Program. For more information, visit the
project’s status website or contact the project manager, Rick Koehl, Engineer III, at 926-8715 or
