Morning and evening classes available
Newport News Department of Human Services is hosting community-based 24/7 Dad ® fatherhood education classes beginning in June at the South Morrison Family Education Center at 746 Adams Drive.
24/7 Dad ® is an evidence-based nationwide program designed to improve the knowledge, behavior and skills of fathers and is built on the premise that fathers can also be nurturers. For men, nurturing is a learned skill and throughout the program men will examine personal fatherhood histories, learn the five characteristics of a 24/7 Dad ®, the importance of working with mothers, and proper child discipline.
The classes are open to all fathers and fathers-to-be and are in two different sessions available mornings or afternoons. Register through the links below or contact Ms. Diggs at 757-369-6814.
