Paint
- Check with a charity organization, or theatre group to see if they can use for painting projects.
- Give useable leftovers to family or friends.
- If less than a ¼ can, pour mortar mix or kitty litter into can to solidify, reseal, place in plastic bag, then place in garbage container.
- If more than a ¼ can, pour paint into bag of mortar mix or kitty litter to solidify, reseal, place in plastic bag, then place in garbage container.
- If paint is hardened, scrape it out into a plastic bag, and dispose of in regular trash. The paint can and lid can be recycled only if completely empty and clean of all paint residue.
Pesticides / Herbicides
Use remaining portions or give to neighbors. Empty pesticide containers should be triple rinsed (spray rinse water on crops / yard before discarding. The empty containers are not recyclable.
