One City, One Celebration- Victory Landing Park
Cheer on the runners as they finish the Nautical Mile, the Maritime 8K, and the One City Marathon. Free admission, free parking. Food and beverage vendors ($).

28th Newport News Children's Festival of Friends- Newport News Park
Kids ages 2 -12 will enjoy over 100 free hands-on activities, costumed characters, and free children’s rides. Food vendors ($) on site. $5.00 per car parking fee, all activities are free. See here for the 2018 Exhibitor Application for non-profit and community groups.

World Arts Celebration- City Center at Oyster Point
Enjoy entertainment, food & merchandise vendors ($), and exhibits showcasing cultures from around the world. Free admission, free parking.

King-Lincoln Park Day- King Lincoln Park

Summer Celebration Wine Festival- Lee Hall Mansion
Wine tastings and sales from Virginia wineries, music, food vendors, and craft vendors. Tickets sold in advance and at the gate.

4th of July Stars in the Sky- Victory Landing Park
The Virginia Peninsula's biggest July 4th event features live music, food vendors ($), free children's rides, and fireworks over the James River. Free admission, free parking.
October 6 & 7, 2018; 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
45th Newport News Fall Festival- Newport News Park
The festival features over 150 vendors, traditional crafts and trades, artists, entertainment, food & beverage vendors ($), and children's activities. $5.00 per car parking fee. Applications for the Juried & Marketplace Area (handmade crafts & art), Heritage Area (traditional craft & trade displays and demonstrations), and Country Store Area ("farmers market" items including canned goods and fresh produce) are due March 26, 2018.

City Center Oyster Roast- City Center at Oyster Point
A festival of oysters and other Chesapeake Bay seafood favorites with live music and free children's activities. Free admission, free parking. Food and beverages ($).

Celebration in Lights- Newport News Park
Drive through two miles of holiday light displays. $12.00 per car, $60.00 per bus.

City Center at Oyster Point Special Events Application:
Newport News Parks, Recreation & Tourism manages the scheduling of events at City Center at Oyster Point. If you would like have an event at City Center (wedding, charity event, etc.), please call 757-926-1400 and speak to the Special Event staff. The City Center event application is available here. See here for the City Center Wedding Application. The submission of an application DOES NOT reserve a date and DOES NOT mean approval. Special Events staff will review all applications after speaking with the applicants.
