Why Residents Are Charged a Solid Waste Fee
Residents are charged a Solid Waste Fee to cover the cost of landfilling and recycling residential waste. This fee is used exclusively for solid waste and recycling services and cannot be used for any other purpose. Other taxes paid to the city do not support any of Solid Waste services.
Who Is Charged a Solid Waste Fee
Residents of single family homes, townhouses, condominiums and mobile homes are charged a Solid Waste Fee, if they receive automated garbage collection services from the city or receive trash collection through a private contractor underwritten by the city.
How the Solid Waste Fee Is Billed
The Solid Waste Fee is included on your monthly water bill. Residents are charged the fee for each week of water service.
Solid Waste Fee Schedule
The Solid Waste Fee is based on the size and number of garbage containers assigned to each household. This fee is subject to change each July.
