About the Administration Division

  • The Administration Division supports the five operations divisions.
  • The Director of Public Works reports directly to the Assistant City Manager and is responsible for all tenants of the department as provided within the City Code of Ordinances and Charter.
  • The Administration Division performs an oversight function with respect to budget expenditures, human resources, environmental compliance, service delivery and departmental operation, ensuring that all money is spent efficiently and effectively to achieve department goals.
  • The Administration Division provides for the safety and training needs of the operating divisions and maintains a warehouse to supply required materials to staff and front-line professionals.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Administration Division is to provide direction, support, and coordination to Public Works operating divisions, facilitating their delivery of service throughout the community.
