Newport News Crime Line – Weeks of May 6th  & 13th, 2019


I’m Senior Communications Specialist Sarah Ketchum.  The Newport News Police Department needs your help to solve a recent robbery.

On April 29, 2019 at approximately 9:52 p.m., an armed man walked into the Shell station located in the 9200 block of Warwick Blvd and robbed the business..

The male suspect was wearing a black jacket with a gray hoodie, gray pants with a light gray stripe down the side, red shorts underneath the pants, and black sneakers. His face was covered with a white shirt. He pointed a firearm at the clerk and demanded money. After receiving the money, he fled the business on foot.
