I’m MPO Brandon Maynard.  The Newport News Police Department needs your help to solve a recent double shooting.

On June 6th, 2018, at 8:04 PM, Newport News Communications received a call of gunshots heard in the 400 block of Crescent Way. The call was upgraded to a shooting, and upon police arrival, a 10 year-old male juvenile was located suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound to his head. He was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The juvenile was subsequently flown to a local area hospital in Norfolk for further treatment.

The second victim was identified as a 42 year-old Newport News man, who was driven to a local hospital by another subject. The second victim suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his leg. He was treated and released shortly after. Both victims were shot at the same apartment complex.
