Our Duties

The Voter Registrar is appointed by the Newport News Electoral Board, who in turn is appointed by the Circuit Court Judges in the City. The Voter Registration and Office of Elections is responsible for maintaining accurate voter records and efficient administration of elections in accordance with state and federal election laws.
