- IT is tasked with the following areas of responsibility:
- Server management and desktop computer support
- Public safety radio support and infrastructure design and support
- Mainframe operation and support
- Telephone system support and next generation design for VoIP
- Data network design, administration, and security
- Database analysis and administration
- E-Mail system management
- Project management of technology projects and strategic planning
- Application support and contractor liaison
- E-Government services and web site management for staff and citizens
- Geographic Information Systems (GIS) with mapping and analysis
- Technology helpdesk support and training
