MEMORANDUM ORDER
LOCAL RULE 98-3
Effective immediately, the following procedures are to be followed when screening applicants for District Court Judge:
PROCEDURES TO BE FOLLOWED WHEN SCREENING APPLICANTS FOR DISTRICT COURT JUDGE
- Individual will be required to fill out an application.
- Must provide an affidavit under oath he/she has no pending Virginia State Bar complaints, judgments or liens.
- The Circuit Court Judges will interview applicants.
- File with the Court a Statement of Economic Interests.
Pursuant to Rule 1:15, the original of this Memorandum Order shall forthwith be spread upon the Order Book and an attested copy of same shall be (1) posted in the Clerk's Office, (2) filed with the Executive Secretary of the Supreme Court of Virginia, and (3) furnished to all the Court's appointees.
