Newport News CASA is part of the national network of 1,000 independent CASA programs. There are currently over 52,000 trained advocates throughout the country.
Since 1985, 296 citizens like you have been trained to be CASAs for over 3500 children who were victims of child abuse and neglect. CASA volunteers have participated in over 4600 hours of regular and inservice training since July 2004. Volunteer advocacy allow for the needs and desires of the child to be heard in the already overburdened social and legal systems.
